DYMY. AI TTS Privacy Policy

By using the DYMY. AI TTS Twitch Extension (the "Extension"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy, including all liability and responsibility provisions set forth below.
1. Information Collection
We collect the following information strictly to operate the Extension's core functionality:
- Twitch Identity Data: Viewer Twitch User ID and username (only when viewers explicitly consent via the "Send as [username]" checkbox). Broadcaster Twitch User ID for configuration purposes. Users are solely responsible for the legality of providing this data.
- TTS Message Content: Text of TTS messages sent by viewers, processed via Cartesia AI API to generate audio. Users are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of all message content they submit.
- Transaction Data: Number of Twitch Bits spent on TTS messages, used solely for transaction tracking and broadcaster statistics. Users are solely responsible for all Bit transactions they initiate.
- Broadcaster Configuration Data: TTS settings (enable/disable status, minimum bits, message duration, chime settings) and custom voice configurations (voice IDs, names, avatars). Broadcasters are solely responsible for all configuration data they store via the Extension.
We do not collect any additional personal data beyond what is explicitly listed above. Users assume all risks associated with providing data to the Extension.
2. Use of Information
Collected information is used exclusively to:
- Operate the TTS donation service, including generating audio via Cartesia AI API.
- Display TTS messages on broadcaster streams via OBS browser source overlay.
- Provide usage statistics and configuration tools to broadcasters.
- Apply profanity filters to maintain community standards (users remain solely responsible for all message content regardless of filtering).
We disclaim all liability for how user-submitted data is used, stored, or processed. Users are solely responsible for all consequences arising from their submitted data.
3. User Warranties and Responsibilities
ALL USERS (VIEWERS AND BROADCASTERS) ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS AND DATA SUBMITTED VIA THE EXTENSION. WE DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR USER ACTIONS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Broadcaster-Specific Warranties
Broadcasters expressly warrant, represent, and agree that:
- They have obtained explicit, informed, verifiable written consent from every individual whose voice they clone, upload, or make available for TTS via the Extension (including all custom cloned voices).
- They have all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and legal authorizations to use any voice added to the Extension, including full compliance with all voice cloning laws, data privacy regulations, and intellectual property laws in their jurisdiction.
- They are solely responsible for any unauthorized, non-consented use of third-party voices and will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DYMY. AI TTS, its owners, developers, affiliates, and partners from any and all claims, damages, legal fees, penalties, or liabilities arising from voice use without proper consent or authorization.
- They are solely responsible for managing all TTS queue content, including deleting individual messages or clearing the entire queue, and for all data stored in their Extension instance.
- They assume full liability for any disputes with voice owners, viewers, or third parties related to Extension use.
Viewer-Specific Warranties
Viewers expressly warrant, represent, and agree that:
- They have the legal right to send all TTS message content, which does not violate any copyright, trademark, privacy, defamation, or other laws in any jurisdiction.
- They consent to their Twitch username being used in TTS messages if they check the "Send as [username]" checkbox, and are solely responsible for any consequences of using their identity.
- They are solely responsible for all Bit transactions they initiate and all content they submit via the Extension.
- They assume full liability for any disputes arising from their TTS messages.
4. Data Sharing
We share TTS message content exclusively with Cartesia AI to generate audio. Users are:
- Solely responsible for reviewing Cartesia AI's Privacy Policy (https://cartesia.ai/privacy) and understanding how their data is processed by Cartesia AI.
- Solely liable for any claims arising from Cartesia AI's processing of their data. We disclaim all liability for Cartesia AI's data practices.
We do not share user data with any other third parties except as required by applicable law, in which case users remain solely responsible for any consequences of such disclosure.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Data retention is controlled as follows, with users assuming all responsibility:
- TTS messages are retained in the queue until broadcasters delete individual messages, clear the entire queue, or messages are marked as completed. Broadcasters are solely responsible for managing all queue data and compliance with data retention laws.
- Broadcaster settings and voice configurations are retained until the broadcaster removes the Extension, deletes their configuration, or requests data deletion. Broadcasters are solely responsible for all configuration data retention and deletion compliance.
- Viewers seeking deletion of their TTS messages must contact the relevant broadcaster directly; we are not responsible for viewer data deletion requests and disclaim all liability for broadcaster data management.
- Broadcasters seeking deletion of their configuration data may contact us at the email below. We will delete broadcaster-level data within 30 days of verified request, but disclaim all liability for delayed or incomplete deletion.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DYMY. AI TTS, ITS OWNERS, DEVELOPERS, AND AFFILIATES ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Unauthorized or non-consented use of third-party voices (broadcasters' sole responsibility)
- Inappropriate, illegal, or harmful TTS message content (viewers' sole responsibility)
- Data breaches, unauthorized access, or loss of user data (users assume all risks of transmitting data online)
- Disputes between viewers, broadcasters, voice owners, or third parties
- Any issues arising from Cartesia AI's or other third-party processing of data
- Service interruptions, bugs, or technical failures
Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DYMY. AI TTS from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from their use of the Extension, violation of this Privacy Policy, or infringement of any third-party rights.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time without notice to users. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. Users are solely responsible for reviewing this Policy periodically for updates and compliance.
